What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Representative-GPMS position at Grace Pacific LLC?
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
- Creates, implements, and maintains sales call plan for existing, potential, "cold" customers.
- Sources, builds and maintains positive customer/vendor relationships via information gleaned from trade publications, websites, public records, trade shows etc.
- Identifies key customers for assigned accounts and maintains a regular communication schedule to build and sustain business relationships.
- Maintains a current appointment calendar and quote log that is accessible to manager and other department sales staff, as required, for efficient customer service and response.
- Provides current and new customers with product and/or installation services information, price quotes/trends and other sales support activities to secure orders and develop future business opportunities.
- Effectively resolves customer concerns in a timely manner.
- Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
- Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents
- Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements for proposals and bids.
- Performs field visit and surveys to gather information for proposals and bids.
- Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
- Conducts regular follow on submitted proposals and bids.
- Maintains a clean and safe environment for all workers
PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS:

Skills/Knowledge:
Math:
Math and analytical skills to perform pricing calculations and analyze sales/pricing trends.
Computer:
Working knowledge of MS Outlook applications including Word,
Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Visio, and Email; aptitude to learn
in-house systems, keyboarding skills sufficient to complete daily tasks in a timely manner.
Reading:
Ability to read blueprint plans and schematics, helpful.
Ability to read and understand business documents and technical drawing material and requirements.
Licenses:
Must be able to produce Valid driver's license and favorable traffic abstract.
Education/Experience:
College degree within related field preferred, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience working within a Sales and/or Estimator capacity, preferably in industrial sales in the construction market.
Sales management and/or marketing experience helpful.
Very detail oriented.
Excellent organizational and recordkeeping skills.
Ability to work well on a team.
