As someone with a knack for organizing and facilitating sustainable solutions, the Lead Organizer will create different organizational systems for a host of spaces, ranging from closets and pantries to bedrooms and mudrooms. An ability to sort and categorize in detail is critical. It’s important to have a basic working knowledge of furniture placement, available storage solutions, and common names for closet organizers, storage boxes, bins, as well as a list of places (online or off) where these items are available. Bonus points if the Container Store knows you by name!
A Lead Organizer will implement efficient organizational systems and processes and to identify areas for improvement. This job can be carried out in a variety of different settings, and organizers complete tasks ranging from organizing filing systems and cleaning out closets to developing better electronic organization systems.
Lead Organizers will create different organizing solutions and systems for a host of spaces, ranging from closets and pantries to bedrooms and mud-rooms. Having the ability to quickly identify necessary and unnecessary objects in a room is essential. An ability to sort and categorize in detail is critical. It’s important to have a basic working knowledge of furniture placement, available storage solutions, and common names for closet organizers, storage boxes, bins, as well as a list of places (online or off) where these items are available.
Hands-On Organizing. Travel to client’s home to do on-site organizing of various rooms and spaces. Lead organizers will determine and source organizing supplies and solutions for clients. The role can include organizing packing and moving, developing household filing systems, organizing closets, offices, pantries, kitchens, garages, etc. Will be asked to perform various tasks including getting rid of clutter, sorting, removing trash, doing off-site product pick up and coordinating donations.
Physical Requirements. Can lift 50 pounds, climb stairs, use a step stool or small ladder. Organizing requires mental and physical stamina. Working in many different homes requires the ability to tolerate typical household odors that derive from pets, dust, smoke or fragrances. (We do not work with in excessively dirty or unsafe homes.) Be in proper uniform while organizing or representing Graceful Spaces.
This position has the flexibility to have 20hrs - 40hrs a week, with a typical 30hr week. This is dependent upon the needs of the company on a weekly basis.
Education. We require that our Lead Organizers have earned an Associate’s Degree or a Certification of any type in any field of study.
