The Senior Manager, Event Marketing, will be responsible for setting the enterprise event marketing strategy and producing internal and external events across the organization globally to drive marketing and business growth. This role will lead all aspects of the event strategy, integrated event marketing campaigns, RFPs and vendor selection, planning, production, and event management details. The ideal candidate will bring marketing expertise and experience, possess deep attention to detail, be an excellent project manager and strategic advisor, and have outstanding communication skills. Reporting to the Head of Global Brand and Communications, this individual will be tasked in recommending, leading, managing and executing a wide variety of strategic events to support the company’s Blueprint for Growth.

The base pay range for this position is listed below, exclusive of fringe benefits or other compensation. If you are hired, your final base hourly rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, competencies, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees. Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.

What You Will Do At Graco
Experiential Marketing Strategy & Leadership
- Collaborate with leadership and key business partners across the enterprise in overall strategy, planning and execution of large-scale, global events with an annual budget of $5MM
- Lead a cross-functional team, contractors and vendors to design creative events that deliver strong ROI.
- Design marketing campaigns and promotional materials to generate interest and attendance across the various marketing channels.
- Drive awareness and understanding of marketing channels beyond events with an emphasis on how they can contribute to driving a strong sales pipeline. This includes how events can play a role in our broader integrated marketing strategy.
- Drive cost savings through a global analysis of Graco’s event spending to identify areas for efficiency and simplification through economies of scale.
- Develop and implement a global event strategy that aligns with the company’s business objectives, purpose and values as well as business division goals and objectives.
- Conceptualize, design, and create high-profile events that engage, motivate and inspire Graco’s key stakeholders, including customers, board members, executives, employees and investors.
- Develop and lead global customer events, trade shows, employee events, investor events, executive and board meetings, incentive meetings, and large-scale celebrations.
- Lead marketing and event campaign around Graco’s 100th anniversary, including employee engagement strategy, marketing and sales campaigns, and large-scale milestone events.
- Manage end-to-end planning and lead a team for a variety of company events and partner with divisional and regional business partners to bring events to life.
- Lead site selection, contract negotiations, and management of vendors including event software partners, production partners, event sites, hotels, catering, entertainment, external speakers, gifts, and event staffing.
- Ensure all events are executed with excellent client service, flawlessly, on time, and within budget, delivering exceptional attendee experiences.
- Work closely with the Director of Brand and Communications, senior leadership and divisional sales and marketing leaders to align execution of event with organizational goals and strategies.
- Manage executive script writing and presentation development.
- Measure event success through feedback, surveys, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Provide post-event analysis, including financial performance, attendee feedback, and recommended areas for improvement.
- Manage an internal events coordinator to plan and implement Graco events including Quarter Century Club, SLC incentive event, global DLC meetings, Employee Picnic, Graco Open, Graco Foundation events, Manufacturing Day, Sporting events tickets, building events, employee giveaways, holiday events and more.
- Lead, mentor, manage, and staff a team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and promoting a culture of excellence.
- Drive team performance by setting clear goals, providing ongoing feedback, and facilitating professional growth opportunities.
- Establish, manage, and be accountable for the annual team budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and alignment with organizational strategic objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Event Management, or a related field.
- 8 years of experience with $1MM large-scale events, marketing experience, corporate event planning and management, preferably in a global environment.
- 2 years of leadership experience managing and developing a team.
- Demonstrated understanding of how events and other marketing channels can contribute to driving a strong sales pipeline.
- Experience leading integrated marketing campaigns to generate event excitement and attendance across various marketing channels.
- Excellent leadership and relationship management skills.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale corporate and customer event strategies.
- Hands-on experience and certification with event management platforms such as Cvent.
- Outstanding communication skills including writing, presenting, and developing presentations for executives.
- Experience with cross-functional collaboration and interacting with all levels of an organization, including c-suite.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to stay current with industry trends and apply best practices to events and branding.
- High level of energy, sense of urgency and decisiveness, along with sound problem-solving and negotiating skills.
- Ability to travel approximately 30% of time, domestic and international.
- CMP (Certified Meeting Professional).
