I have an immediate need for an in-home 10th grade Algebra 1 tutor in Iowa near where E Miller Street meets Ash Street. The student is a 10th grader attending Iowa High School. He needs to work with a tutor for support in Algebra 1.
The student would like to review and revisit some past and present concepts that he's finding a bit challenging. He feels that he isn't performing well in either homework or tests and could really use some help with preparation and improving his study skills. He mentioned that the teacher tends to go quickly, and the teaching style doesn't quite resonate with him.
The main goals for the student are to gain a better understanding of the curriculum and receive additional support to improve performance on homework and tests, helping him raise his grade.
The student wants to work with the tutor for 2 hours a week. Either 1 hour sessions 2 times a week or a 2 hour session once a week. He is available Monday through Friday from 5pm-9pm and Saturday 10am-8pm.
Job Requirements
- Tutor must be willing to work in person, face to face at the student's home in Iowa near where E Miller Street meets Ash Street.
- Tutor must be available for 2 hours a week: either 1 hour sessions 2 times a week or a 2 hour session once a week. (Student is available Monday through Friday from 5pm-9pm and Saturday 10am-8pm.)
- Due to insurance requirements applicants must not be a minor.
Student Availability
MON-FRI 5pm-9pm
SAT 10am-8pm
