Job Overview

Graduate Pest Solutions is looking for a reliable Bookkeeper/ Administrative Assistance to join our friendly team part-time (15-20 hours/week). If you love and are skilled with Excel, Quickbooks, and payroll, and you like making a difference, we'd love to hear from you! We are a growing company, so your contributions directly support the financial health and smooth operations of our local company serving our neighbors and companies throughout western Massachusetts.

What You'll Do:

Bookkeeping

  • Payroll: Process weekly payroll, including benefits reconciliation and 3rd party funding.
  • Human Resources: Administer timely and accurate compliance with all payroll and HR related tasks and records.
  • Collections: Produce and send monthly statements and collection letters, and generate weekly reports to support the collections process.
  • Accounts Payable: Process bill payments weekly and maintain accurate accounts payable records.

Administrative Assistance

  • Produce weekly/monthly reports in Excel, using best practice formulas and features
  • Digital scanning and filing of documents and records. Maintain orderly digital file structure.
  • Initiate process improvements, as appropriate.
  • Ad hoc projects, as needed.

What You Bring:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience, including administering payroll - required
  • Proficiency in bookkeeping/accounting principles and practices
  • Knowledge of general ledger accounting principles
  • Solid math skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficient technology skills and aptitude, including but not limited to: Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks Online (preferred), & Checkwriters (or other comparable payroll software). Strong knowledge of Excel emphasized.
  • Team-player attitude
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills
  • Self-starter who can work well autonomously as well as collaborate within a team
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
