Fulton County North Service Center - Sandy Springs
SUMMARY
The Lead Certified Peer Specialist works with people who experience serious mental illness and acts as a role model of recovery. This position provides group and/or individual training and counseling, as well as service coordination, support for community linkage, and advocacy support to meet individual needs. The position assists with completion of Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP) and must be CARES certified.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required
- CARES and WRAP certifications required
- Current certification as Peer Specialist (CPS) through the Georgia DBHDD/Georgia Mental Health Consumer Network is required
- Two years of experience with Serious and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI) and/or addictive disease is required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred
