Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and be proficient in various pharmacy practices, including DME. This role is essential in ensuring the safe and effective filling of prescriptions while providing excellent patient service.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in filling and dispensing medications, including DME products.
- Provide patient care by answering questions regarding prescription status and delivery status.
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and patient profiles.
- Promptly answering phone calls and providing information and processing refills.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively when communicating with patients and healthcare staff.
- Perform inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and labeling prescriptions.
- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred.
- Experience in DME billing is a plus.
- Familiar with PioneerRX software a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in pharmacy practice.
- Must be proficient in spanish
