Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA)

Responsibilities:

• Placing and finishing restorations under the dentist’s supervision

• Taking and developing X-rays for diagnostic purposes

• Providing chairside assistance during dental procedures

• Taking impressions for crowns, bridges, and study models

• Applying sealants and fluoride treatments

• Polishing and finishing teeth after procedures

• Ensuring sterilization and infection control procedures are followed

• Educating patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care

• Reviewing and updating medical histories before procedures

• Documenting treatments and assisting with scheduling appointments

• Managing lab cases and maintaining inventory of dental materials

Qualifications :

* EFDA Certification (required)

• Minimum of 1 year of dental assisting experience (preferred)

• X-Ray Certification (preferred)

• CPR Certification (required)

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
