What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembler - 2nd Shift position at Graham Corporation?
This position is 4 days a week, 10 hours per day, Monday through Thursday.
Job Duties:
- May be required to work on any type of assembly operations, sub assemblies, to eliminate production bottlenecks, to assemble special attachments and/or accessories.
- Uses hand and portable tools, hoists and overhead cranes in erection assembly, installation, fitting repairs, etc.
- Provide leadership and guidance to trainees or other assigned to assist.
- Performs pipe-fitting functions as required.
- Observes safe work procedures and conforms to good housekeeping procedures.
- Will be required to provide several personal hand tools as designated by supervisor.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Production Lead or his/her designate.
Education and Experience Required:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proficiency Test applicable.
Preferred Skill Sets:
- Pipefitting background helpful.
Working Conditions:
- May be required to move items up to 60 pounds for distances of up to 10 feet. May be required to stand, stoop, bend, kneel and squat for extended periods of time. May be exposed to fumes or dust, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather, moving mechanical parts and moderate to loud noise levels. Must wear appropriate protective gear and clothing as necessary.
