This position assists in providing a safe and clean learning environment for students, staff, and faculty.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintains daily work schedule for routine cleaning in all assigned areas.
- Ensures that tasks meet quality standards.
- Maintains cleaning supply inventory.
- Dusts and mops floors.
- Vacuums carpets.
- Cleans restrooms and restocks paper and soap supplies.
- Empties trash receptacles and bags trash for proper disposal.
- Locks doors after cleaning areas.
- Assists in loading and unloading of supplies as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Effectively communicate with all members of the school district and community.
- Effectively communicate will students and their family members.
- Knowledge of hand, power, and diagnostic tools and equipment required to perform the job.
- Knowledge of laws, rules, codes, and guidelines pertaining to custodial/facility operations.
- Knowledge of safety precautions.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and materials.
