Quality Analyst

The QA is responsible for conducting retrospective and concurrent medical record reviews to assure quality indicator compliance. The QA abstracts defined quality measures, monitors and evaluates quality associated reports, assures maximum scores possible related to Value Based Purchasing (VBP), and serves as a resource for organizational quality and performance improvement for professional staff, nursing, clinical support services and ancillary services. This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Quality & IT Applications.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school.
2 years of clinical, project management experience, or data analysis preferred.
Current RN license preferred
Positive attitude and team focused with the ability to maintain morale in a changing environment.
Strong computer and data management skills, including a working knowledge of specific computer software applications, including Internet, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Word Processing and PowerPoint.
Strong analytical skills in order to gather data, determine conformity based on predetermined criteria, identify problems and assist in problem solving.
Attention to detail and ability to abstract data accurately and in a timely manner.
Must exhibit ability to function independently in a self-directed work environment to prioritize tasks, projects and work without day to day supervision.
Interpersonal skills necessary to interact with internal and external personnel in order to exchange and gather patient care data.
Excellent oral and written communication skills to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with a variety of integrated healthcare system personnel, regulatory personnel and physicians.
