Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced Parts Specialist to join the GRP team. This role requires an individual who is driven, highly organized, and enjoys tackling challenges associated with sourcing and managing custom and performance parts.
Key Responsibilities
- Fulfill quotes and respond to price & availability requests.
- Manage leads and inquiries related to parts sales, ensuring prompt follow-up.
- Complete invoices accurately and forward them to accounting in a timely manner.
- Place parts orders as requested and provide ETAs to service advisors.
- Oversee shipping and receiving processes, including daily processing of incoming parts.
- Notify the service team promptly of any changes to parts availability.
- Assist technicians with maintaining overall shop cleanliness and organization.
- Maintain an accurate inventory and report any overages or shortages to the parts manager.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with GRP vendors.
- Process returns of unused or unneeded parts in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Experience: 2-3 years as a Parts Advisor in aftermarket or performance parts (preferred).
- Skills: Critical thinking, problem-solving, and strong communication skills.
- Attention to Detail: High level of precision in all aspects of the role.
- Initiative: Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently.
- Adaptability: Ability to think creatively to source hard-to-find parts for rare vehicles.
- Integrity: Demonstrates professionalism and honesty in all dealings.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (9-hour shift with a 1-hour lunch).
- No weekend hours required; however, participation in occasional GRP events on Saturdays may be mandatory.
Job Type: Full-time
