About the Position
This role involves developing and presenting the Grainger Value Proposition to accounts, analyzing how Grainger can add value and meet their purchasing needs. A key responsibility is creating a territory plan that optimizes call routes, maximizes time in the field, and ensures delivery of a sales plan that meets performance targets.
Main Tasks
- Developing and maintaining account and customer contact records in Grainger's CRM system.
- Utilizing various communication channels to take a proactive approach to increasing sales with each account.
- Growing revenue to reported thresholds and achieving or exceeding shared metrics of daily calls and customer face-time minutes.
- Reporting accurate information on overall results of customer interactions and identifying opportunities for sales growth.
Necessary Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED, Associate's Degree, or Bachelor's Degree equivalent experience preferred.
- 1 year of sales experience required.
- Able to travel with occasional overnights dependent on territory.
- Valid driver's license required.
