Job Description
">We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Part-Time Assistant Coach to join our team at Grambling State University. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Head Coach in day-to-day coaching duties, including managing the roster, evaluating talent, and recruiting student-athletes.
">Main Responsibilities

- Coaching men's and women's jumping and multi events under the direction of the Head Coach. ">
- Managing the roster to ensure compliance with NCAA regulations. ">
- Evaluating potential student-athlete talent and conducting correspondence via various channels. ">
- Completing necessary Compliance and Institutional documentation. ">
- Recruiting student-athletes who meet University academic and athletic standards. ">
- Working closely with academic support staff to monitor athletes' academic progress. ">
- Assisting with travel to events and coordinating with other personnel as needed. ">
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Athletics Department. ">
Essential Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree required. ">
- One to five years of coaching experience on collegiate or high school level, or as an intern. ">
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. ">
- Effective written and oral communication skills. ">
- Sound judgment and maturity. ">
- PREFERRED: Master's Degree and previous experience in intercollegiate athletics. ">
