The GRAMMY Museum is seeking a Marketing Manager with a strong emphasis on digital marketing to support and execute multi-channel campaigns that promote exhibitions, public programs, membership, and key Museum initiatives. As part of a small, dynamic team, you think strategically and execute tactically, balancing digital expertise with general marketing support. You are results-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing everything from email campaigns and SEO strategy to media planning and vendor coordination. You are a well-rounded marketer looking to make a measurable impact in the nonprofit arts and culture space.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Digital Marketing & Analytics
- Lead planning, execution, and optimization of digital advertising campaigns, including Google Display, paid social, YouTube pre-roll, podcasts, and emerging platforms.
- Manage and execute email marketing efforts including weekly newsletters, drip campaigns, and member journeys; segment audiences and track performance using CRM tools.
- Work with the Director of Marketing to implement SEO best practices across the Museum’s website and store and develop paid search strategies to drive traffic and conversions.
- Monitor digital campaign analytics and performance data to optimize content and targeting; provide regular reports to internal stakeholders.
- Identify trends, tools, and new digital opportunities to grow reach and engagement across digital platforms (e.g., SMS, influencer partnerships, etc.).
- Maintain content updates and troubleshoot issues on the Museum’s website in collaboration with the web development team.
General Marketing & Coordination
- Collaborate with the Director of Marketing to develop integrated campaign strategies for exhibitions, events, and institutional initiatives.
- Serve as a point of contact for marketing requests from departments including Advancement, Education, and Public Programs.
- Intake and manage creative services tickets.
- Maintain internal marketing calendars and support team-wide deadline alignment.
- Pull audience and ticketing data (e.g., zip code reports) to help measure ROI and inform targeting strategies.
- Track marketing invoices, manage vendor billing, and support budget reconciliation.
Media & Advertising
- Assist with media planning across digital and broadcast platforms.
- Coordinate ad placements and asset delivery with media partners and advertising vendors.
- Support trafficking, tracking, and reporting for paid campaigns.
- Maintain up-to-date records of media contacts, placements, and ad performance.
Content, Copy, & Brand Support
- Ensure consistency of voice, brand, and messaging across all materials.
- Help maintain and organize the Museum’s marketing asset library, brand templates, and style guides.
Other Responsibilities
- Support promotion, signage, and collateral needs for special events.
- Assist with marketing-related logistics and setup for sponsor or donor events as needed.
- Provide support for presentations, board materials, and monthly reports.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and tools to keep Museum marketing efforts fresh and effective.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field preferred.
- 5 years of experience in marketing with strong digital marketing skills and a broad understanding of general marketing functions. Experience in a museum, nonprofit, music, or cultural organization a plus.
- Experience managing email marketing platforms (e.g. Mailchimp, Constant Contact). CRM journey building a plus.
- Familiarity with Google Ads, Google Analytics, and SEO/SEM tools. Square and Google Ad Manager experience preferred.
- Experience working with CMS platforms (e.g. WordPress or similar).
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Must be comfortable wearing multiple hats in a fast-paced, creative team environment.
Salary : $68,600 - $75,800
