Job Description:
The Plumber will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair duties, including installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial and residential structures. This includes providing maintenance services to all Grand Canyon West locations and facilities.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems.
2. Interpret and translate into action information provided by maintenance and repair manuals.
3. Provide quality customer service while following safety and health procedures and policies.
4. Repair domestic appliances and fixtures, such as washing machines and sinks.
5. Maintain maintenance equipment in a clean, safe, and operable condition.
6. Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Abilities:
1. Ability to physically complete and have the knowledge to perform maintenance and repair duties.
2. Ability to read and understand operating, maintenance and repair manuals for equipment, machinery and all maintenance services offered.
3. Ability to respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing issues.
4. Ability to routinely walk, stand, bend, and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
5. Ability to work in a team environment and establish and maintain positive working relationships.
6. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
1. Good oral communication skills.
2. Valid Driver's License with clean driving record.
3. High School Diploma or GED.
4. Preference given to Hualapai Tribal members.
5. Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper.
6. Solid understanding of water distribution and disposal systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
7. Ability to complete projects unsupervised and unassisted.
8. Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
