**Job Summary**
Grand Canyon Unified Schools is seeking a dedicated and compassionate K-12 School Guidance Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide support services that facilitate the acquisition of academic, personal/social, and career competencies for students.
**Responsibilities:**
- Provide academic, social, personal, and crisis counseling to students.
- Communicate with parents, school personnel, and community resources to enhance student performance and success.
- Revised course catalog, coordinate graduation, and scholarship solicitation and assistance for students.
- Coordinate state testing programs, PSAT, ACT, SAT, and AP.
**Qualifications:
- Current Arizona Department of Education school counselor endorsement certificate and current, valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card.
- Secondary school counseling/teaching experience preferred.
- Knowledge of transcript evaluation and interpretation.
- Knowledge of and experience in vocational and career planning.
- Knowledge of and sensitivity to ethnic, cultural, and socio-economic influences on the student.
- Knowledge of individual and group counseling techniques.
- Computer literate.
- ELL and 504 experience highly encouraged.
