High School ESS Teacher
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary Special Education (ESS) Teacher to join our team at Grand Canyon Unified Schools. This is a full-time, four-day week position starting in mid-July 2025.

Qualifications
- A valid Arizona Standard Professional Mod/Severe Special Education K-12 Certificate is required; a cross-categorical certificate is preferred.
- A current, valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card is necessary.
- The ideal candidate will have a general knowledge of curriculum and instruction in the content area.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective collaboration with students, school personnel, and parents.
- The ability to motivate students and foster a love of learning is crucial.

- A knowledge of own cultural identity and its influence on behavior, as well as an awareness of Native American and Hispanic cultures.

- In-depth knowledge of instructional principles, methods, and techniques applicable to students with identified disabilities.
- Experience with inclusionary practices.
- The ability to communicate effectively with fellow staff members, parents, students, and community members.
- A commitment to reporting incidents of child abuse, altercations, and substance abuse for the safety and well-being of students and adherence to educational code of ethics and district/school policies.
