**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a qualified K-12 school guidance counselor to join our team at Grand Canyon Unified Schools. This is a full-time, four-day week position that requires enthusiasm and compassion for working with students.
The ideal candidate will have experience in academic, social, personal, and crisis counseling, as well as communication with parents, school personnel, and community resources to enhance student performance and success.
- Revising the course catalog, coordinating graduation and scholarship solicitation and assistance for students
- Coordinating state testing programs, PSAT, ACT, SAT, and AP
**Responsibilities:**
- Providing support services to facilitate the acquisition of academic, personal/social, and career competencies
- Working under the supervision of the Principal to ensure the best possible outcomes for students
**Requirements:**
- A current Arizona Department of Education school counselor endorsement certificate
- A valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card
- Secondary school counseling/teaching experience preferred
- Knowledge of transcript evaluation and interpretation
- Knowledge of vocational and career planning
