Steward/Dishwasher

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our culinary team and contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Operate dishwashing equipment and maintain cleanliness of all dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
• Ensure that all kitchen items are sanitized according to health and safety standards.
• Assist in the organization of the kitchen by properly storing clean dishes and utensils.
• Help maintain a clean work area by sweeping, mopping, and taking out the trash as needed.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely cleaning of dishes during peak service times.
• Support food preparation tasks as needed, including assisting cooks with basic food handling duties.
• Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies within the kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in the culinary team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• A passion for hospitality and commitment to providing excellent service in a culinary setting.
