Laborer Job Description

Construction

• Clean and prepare construction sites
• Load and unload building materials
• Dig trenches, backfill holes, or compact earth
• Build or take apart bracing, scaffolding, and temporary structures
• Operate power tools and hand tools
• Assist skilled trade workers

Maintenance

• Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on equipment
• Clean and mow parks and playground areas
• Maintain adjacent buildings
• Keep recreation areas free of debris and dangerous obstructions
• Perform repairs to sewer systems, streets, and storm drainage systems

Warehouse Handle inventory and Load and unload shipments.

Other

• Assist in demolition projects
• Contribute to agricultural work, including planting, harvesting, and crop tending
• Assist with pavement and asphalt work
• Ensure road safety measures are met

Laborers may need to lift heavy loads, climb to heights, and operate heavy machinery. They may also need to work in wet or humid conditions, near moving mechanical parts, or in high or precarious places

Requirements:

· 2 years of experience as a Capenter.

· High school diploma or GED preferred

· Valid Driver’s License

· Reliable Transportation

· Must have own hand tools

· Cannot be afraid of heights

· Weekend work required

· Pass Pre-employment drug screen
