Position Title: Teacher Aide
Location/Hours: Sidway - 8:45 AM - 3:15 PM
Anticipated Starting Date: ASAP
Salary: $19.08/HR per SRP Contract
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma; or four years of experience and knowledge where specialized duties are involved
- Ability to work with student(s)
- Patience in dealing with students with disabilities
- Good communication skills
- Empathetic but able to positively motivate students to do well
- Personal care aide experience preferred
- CPI training preferred
Duties:
Work with students on a one to one basis and in small groups. Assist with transitions so that student participates in classroom activities. Provide physical assistance to a student. Supervise students and perform other services as determined by the teacher. Follow directions from principal. Proven ability to interact with faculty/staff, students and parents.
