What are the responsibilities and job description for the Daycare Assistant/Floater position at Grand Island YMCA?

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Assists and supports high quality YMCA child care programs for Early Childhood Development and School Age after School and School’s Out Days.
The position is 20-25 hrs/week ranging from 8 am to 6 pm, depending on staffing needs. The floater will work in different areas on different days and times, depending on the need. Age ranges of children is 6 weeks to 5 years old. Interested persons must be able to lift 20 lbs and interact with children at their level, which includes being on the floor at times.
