What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Services Assistant position at Grand Lake Health System?
This role will also cross train into the Shift Leader role working with patient menu and services. There will be opportunities to cross train and learn multiple areas of the department.
Hours of Job
FT - 1st/2nd - Ability to cover both shifts preferred
1st shift runs from 5:30 am to 1:30 pm, 2nd shift runs from 11:30 am to 8:00 pm
Every Other Weekend and Holiday Rotation Required
Duties and Key Responsibilities
Plans daily activities (and/or assists co-workers, as needed) to ensure appropriate and timely service and clean up of meals.
Portions/serves food neatly and attractively.
Maintains established portion control when portioning/serving foods.
Covers, labels, and dates all opened, prepped, or leftover food items placed in storage.
Efficiently assembles patients' trays according to established procedure; assists with assembling late trays; efficiently serves cafeteria customers.
Transports patient tray conveyors to patient units in absence of volunteers.
Requirements
Weekend rotation
Flexibility in scheduling to meet department needs.
Education/Certifications
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience
Food service experience preferred.
