What are the responsibilities and job description for the Integrated Health Services Clerk position at Grand Lake Mental Health Center Inc?
DEFINITION:
The Integrated Health Services Clerk works in the Medical Department under the direction of the Integrated Health Services Director. This position assists with accurate data input and performs a variety of specialized technical personnel duties mainly includes updating and maintaining filing systems, auditing files and records, and tracking required medical documents.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is responsible and held accountable for the following duties, which may include:
- Scheduling assistance of all Urgent and/or NEW medical appointments when the clinic does not have available provider time within 14-day tier or 21-day best practices
- Running/distribution of daily, weekly, monthly reports
- Coordination of orders/scheduling of blood labs/MCTs
- Scheduling INF requests for lab/mct orders from providers per GLMHC policy/procedure and medical necessity
- Direct coordination with CCHS lab/Provider(s), Integrated Health Programs Director and Administrators, and RNs for all Critical/Alert Status blood lab results
- Direct coordination with CCHS lab for rejected samples, errors, orders, and medical demographic reports
- Direct coordination with CCHS lab for new GLMHC Integrated Health team members request for access to Physician Outreach Portal
- Coordination between providers, schedulers, RNs, and Pharmacys to ensure Federal REMS protocol meet for all patients on Clozapine
- Coordination between providers, schedulers, RNs, CCHS and AOT county teams for scheduling and results for all AOT, MAT patients
- Coordination with RN and CMRN for obtainment of PCP and/or outside agency blood lab results
- Responsible for sending outside labs to providers for review/acknowledgment
- Manual entering of outside lab results
- Manual entering of provider RLAB for all outside results
- Scanning all outside labs to images in patients chart after provider acknowledgment
- Distribution of all provider RLAB to assigned CMRN
- Coordination with GLMHC and outside entities IT dept. for all Integrated lab errors, helpdesk tickets
- Chart review to ensure client has had all labs, MCTs, aims, Neuro, 307
- Letters sent to clients of upcoming medical appointments and lab/mct prep sheets
- All letters scanned to images patient chart
- Data Collection
- Attend all provider meetings
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Requires a High School Diploma or Equivalent AND at least two (2) years experience in clerical office work or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
An expectation of core competencies in relation to individuals with co-occurring disorders.
