The Grand Ledge Public Schools will accept applications from qualified candidates for the following: Classroom Teacher Assistant.
Position(s): Wacousta Elementary – BeKindergarten
Monday through Friday 9:00 am – 3:55 pm
Beginning Date: ASAP
Description:
Able to follow teacher direction for student(s) with possible behavioral, physical and/or instructional needs in and out of the classroom. Position may involve some lifting.
Qualifications:
- Sensitive to student’s emotional needs and support.
- Cooperative Discipline Training preferred.
Duties:
- Work with and report to classroom teacher.
- Willing to help follow behavior management plan for student(s).
- Willing to help student(s) with instructional material in the classroom.
- Willing to assist student(s) with personal needs.
- Other duties as administratively assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school graduate.
- Must exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to read and interpret written directions and have the ability and knowledge to assist students in all academic disciplines.
- Must have good work record, including excellent attendance and punctuality, dependable, flexible and cooperative, professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Must be able to relate well with students.
