Classroom Teacher Assistant - Delta Center

The Grand Ledge Public Schools will accept applications from qualified candidates for the following: Classroom Teacher Assistant.

Position(s): Delta Center Elementary

Beginning Date: ASAP

Description:

Able to follow teacher direction for student(s) with possible behavioral, physical and/or instructional needs in and out of the classroom. Position may involve some lifting.

Qualifications:

• Sensitive to student’s emotional needs and support.
• Cooperative Discipline Training preferred.

Duties:

• Work with and report to classroom teacher.
• Willing to help follow behavior management plan for student(s).
• Willing to help student(s) with instructional material in the classroom.
• Willing to assist student(s) with personal needs.
• Other duties as administratively assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school graduate.
• Must exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to read and interpret written directions and have the ability and knowledge to assist students in all academic disciplines.
• Must have good work record, including excellent attendance and punctuality, dependable, flexible and cooperative, professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Must be able to relate well with students.
