What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dual-Rate Dealer/Supervisor position at Grand Lodge Casino?
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Respond to visual and oral signals from customers and fellow employees.
- Pitch cards, handle money efficiently, and handle chips in a professional manner.
- Conduct gambling games such as Blackjack, Craps, or Roulette, following all applicable rules and regulations.
- Manipulate cards, chips, and gaming devices such as roulette wheels and craps sticks accurately.
- Keep track of the game and players’ actions.
- Perform quick basic math calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to accept bets, pay winners, and collect from losers.
- Responsible for the protection and control of the game being dealt and notifying the Pit Supervisor of any irregularities.
- Maintain a superior and courteous atmosphere providing the customer with a pleasant gaming experience.
- Advise Pit Supervisor of any player disputes or arguments that may arise during the game and of any important relevant factors regarding specific players.
- Assist customers in playing and ensure adherence to established rules, policies and procedures.
- Maintain effective working relationships and good customer service skills with all guests and employees. Provides personal attention and assistance to customers by verifying customer winnings and explaining gaming rules and regulations. Acts to keep customers satisfied and motivated to return regardless of if they win or lose.
- Wears and maintains all uniforms properly, including nametag and gaming license.
- Maintains alertness for the performance of all responsibilities, and a general awareness of casino operations at all times. Verifies customers are 21 years of age or older.
- Works and performs dual rate supervisor duties. This includes monitoring game play and settling customer disputes in a professional and courteous manner.
- Performs other duties, including special projects, as needed and directed.
