The Grand Rapids Gold is seeking an ambitious, punctual, and dedicated individual who has a passion for
sales and an educated interest in the NBA G League. Account Executives are responsible for generating new
revenue through ticket sales with a primary focus on group experiences. Additional sales responsibilities are
to be expected in the following categories: individual ticket sales, season tickets, partial ticket plans, and
courtside seats/suites. Ability to maintain relationships and retain clients resulting in repeat business is
expected and required. Individuals must reach or exceed annual sales goals, both individually and collectively
as a team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sell Grand Rapids Gold tickets with an emphasis on group experiences.
- Prospect and generate new leads through research, networking, and cold-calling/emailing.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients in order to retain them.
- Proactively create opportunities for new business with existing clients through annual touch points.
- Assist other departments of the business as needed (i.e. community relations, game-day operations, etc.).
- Attend local networking/community events to engage with current/future clients and maximize sales opportunities.
- Interact with existing clients at games to encourage future business.
- Meet business goal of generating new revenue.
- Maintain knowledge of market trends, competition, and clients.
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals, both individual and team.
- Provide excellent customer service and timely responses to requests.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management/Business or related field and at least one year of group sales experience with either a professional or collegiate sports team (highly preferred).
- An established network in the Grand Rapids area is preferred, but not required.
- Passion to work collectively with larger Sales team to achieve both personal and team goals.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
- Ability to create, develop, and maintain relationships.
- Positive outlook, proven ability to handle and work under pressure and deadlines.
- Personal integrity and strong work ethic.
