JOB SUMMARY
The Equity and Inclusion Program Coordinator will report to the Director of Equity and Inclusion. In this role, the candidate will support GRPS's plan to incorporate Equity and Inclusion goals throughout the district. The candidate must grow, thrive, and contribute openly to an organization that is actively working toward achieving a systemic approach to equity.

JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Design, implement and evaluate programs and professional learning experiences that enhance the districts Vision for Excellence through Equity and support the GRPS Strategic Plan.
- Provide technical assistance for and act as a thought partner and facilitator to the district’s inclusion advisory committees to promote development and growth of the members and ensure lasting, positive impact on the system.
- Work as a part of a team to realize the GRPS Mission, Vision, and strategic plan.
- Research and develop resources that aid in impactful and relevant communication to stakeholders, including articles, learning experiences, newsletters, and other district-wide and community materials.
- Collect qualitative and quantitative data on scholar and educator experiences; summarize the data in reports and infographic snapshots to contribute to reports for Superintendent and Board of Education on the work of the office of Equity and Inclusion programs and objectives progress and activities.
- Participate in staff development programs to improve personal growth and job-related skills and performance.
- Research, plan, lead and facilitate professional learning, affinity groups, learning opportunities, and meetings related to the effective implementation of the GRPS Equity and Inclusion plan, and the Board of Education Equity and Inclusion policy as requested.
- Work intentionally to bring student voice and agency to the work of the district at all levels.
- Maintain ongoing and effective two-way communication with supervisor, staff, students, parents, families, community partners, and the community at large.
- Project coordination around action items detailed in the DEI strategic plan.
- Support the attainment of community-based resources and pursue relevant grants to support the district’s vision and mission for equity and inclusion.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Behavioral Sciences, Human Relations, or another related field
- Proven experience in advancing diversity, inclusion, and cultural competence within an organization.
- Ability to travel locally using personal vehicle/transportation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing, implementing, and evaluating Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs and professional learning experiences.

- Project coordination experience, sound organizational abilities, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrates the ability to examine the impact of educational inequities in student achievement outcomes as it aligns with race, ethnicity, and socio-economic status
- Demonstrates creative initiative and skill as a systems-thinker
- Deep commitment to and success discussing, integrating, and promoting cultural competence, equity, and inclusion throughout a K-12 education organization.
- High level of communication and interpersonal skills such as discretion, integrity, and flexibility to interact effectively with administrators, peers, other districts, parents, and the public
- Experience working collaboratively with a wide array of persons and teams, serving as an internal resource and consultant to advance inclusive policies and practices.
- Ability to lead and collaborate with diverse teams to design programs, products, experiences, and other resources that meet stakeholders' needs
- Must be a self-motivated, highly dependable independent worker who can efficiently and effectively prioritize work and problem solve.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively on multiple tasks and priorities and within given timelines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good command of Google Workspace (Drive, Classroom, Gmail, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher, etc.)
