TITLE: Bay Supervisor
REPORTS TO: Bay Director
DEPARTMENT: The Bay
DOL STATUS: Non-exempt
SUMMARY:
Assists Bay director in managing the Bay store, cabins and campgrounds in a manner that promotes the image of The Bay and Grand River Casino to guests.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operates POS system, collections of payments and verifying reconciliation of reports and cash/checks/credit cards/gift certificates. Assists in ordering of inventory and receives merchandise from vendors and reconciles with orders and packing slips. Regularly rotates inventory and maintains display of merchandise. Ensures safekeeping of all merchandise, property and cash on premises. Will replenish merchandise and supplies for store, restrooms, cabins and campgrounds. Monitors all areas to ensure cleanliness and addresses all guests inquiries. Verifies authorized guests in campgrounds and boat dock areas. Assists at campgrounds and cabins if needed. Assists in training of new staff at store and campgrounds. Ensures compliance of policies and procedures for security, sales and record keeping. Will ensure facilities are maintained, are in proper working order and meet cleanliness standards. Assists with Bay Director to ensure all work shifts are adequately staffed. Will assist in providing proper work shift coverage for scheduled time off and if short staffed. Provides assistance in supervising staff and operation of business in absence of Bay Director. Other duties as assigned by the Bay Director. Employee shall comply with all BSA/AML regulations, reporting, and training requirements Specifically those in the Grand River Casino Written System of Internal Controls (and appendices) for BSA/AML Compliance.
PREREQUISITES
Must be 21 years of age. Must qualify for a Standing Rock Sioux Tribal non-gaming license. Must possess a valid drivers license.
Education:
High school diploma or GED certificate.
Experience:
Two years experience in a supervisory capacity, preferably in a gas station/convenience store or similar retail establishment. Or equivalent experience in lieu of. Knowledge and experience working with POS systems and all other programs utilized in the department and possess the ability to troubleshoot problems.
Physical:
Requires the ability to stand and walk for up to four hours at a time and normal (or corrected to normal) visual acuity and hearing. Must possess the abilities to bend, kneel, reach and grasp, as well as normal finger dexterity. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.
