BASIC FUNCTION : The Facilities Manager ensures the optimal functioning of building systems across District facilities. This includes overseeing operations, maintenance, and repairs. The role also involves directing and leading teams in Facilities, Environmental Services (Housekeeping and Laundry), and Conference Center operations to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment.
The facilities Manager ensures the optimal functioning of building systems throughout District facilities. This includes overseeing the operations, mechanical, maintenance, repairs, electrical, fire / life safety, elevators, etc. Directs and leads staff in Facilities, Environmental Services (Housekeeping and Laundry), and the Conference Center Attendant.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Responsible for active safety program for the Facilities and Environmental Services Department as well as updating and maintaining policies and procedures.
- Responsible for repairs related to mechanical systems, electrical systems, fire / life safety, elevators, and other critical infrastructure.
- Follows and enforces NFPA codes, CMS regulations and Colorado State building codes.
- Develop, manage and monitor operational budgets for the Facilities Department, Environmental Services and Security Contractor.
- Develop, manage and monitor minor and major capital projects. Responsible for 5-year capital budgetary planning.
- Assist the Construction Director in planning, design and construction needs.
- Oversees the results of contracted employment of onsite security. Oversees the operation of the security camera systems in conjunction with the Information Technology Department.
- As the District Safety officer, serves on the Emergency Preparedness / Security Committee and emergency preparedness team.
- Represents the District professionally and will interface with staff at all levels and patients, residents and visitors, contractors, protective service personnel, representatives from municipal and county agencies, and other external contacts as required in the course of performing in this position.
- Ensures that work performed complies with Grand River Hospital District (GRHD) standards and is of a consistently high quality. .
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Conducts service huddles and monthly staff meetings.
- Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.
