Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support individuals in meal preparation and ensure nutritional needs are met.
- Help with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to enhance their quality of life.
- Assist clients in mobility, including lifting and transferring when necessary.
- Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or behavior to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Document care provided and maintain accurate records as required.
Skills
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Proficient in first aid and CPR techniques.
- Strong caregiving skills with a focus on empathy and patience.
- Ability to lift clients safely and assist them in mobility tasks.
- Knowledge of assisted living practices and medication administration protocols.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
