What are the responsibilities and job description for the Habitat Assistant Retail Manager - Year Round position at GRAND TARGHEE RESORT LLC?
Assist the Habitat Retail Manager in the overall operation of the Habitat store. Responsible for selling outdoor sporting goods, clothing and accessories on Grand Targhee Resort’s Ebay store which includes listing, documenting and shipping. Responsible for entering, coding and completing invoices and purchase orders. As a customer focused organization, a crucial part of each employee’s job is to get and keep guests. A key part of every employee's job is to serve as a Targhee ambassador, engaging the guest at every opportunity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising staff in an effective and productive manner, resulting in a strong team of service oriented Resort “Ambassadors”.
- Providing superior service to all customers --the general public and Grand Targhee employees.
- Works closely with Outlet Supervisors and Director of Retail in determining merchandise to be listed and dollar amounts assigned to merchandise.
- Photograph and describe items to be listed and upload descriptions and photographs.
- Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of inventory.
- Observes scheduled work times.
- Conducts physical inventories when needed.
- Handles customer questions and complaints in a respectful manner.
- Building rental and repair POS packages and components.
- Invoice entry, bar-coding, signing and labeling merchandise.
- Adequately package and ship sold merchandise.
- Maintain comprehensive record of listed items including dates listed and sold.
- Flexible working hours. Some job sharing may be required.
- Assisting co-workers and other departments as needed.
- Other retail administrative duties as assigned
- Assist and support Habitat Manager as requested.
- Conduct performance reviews for direct reports.
RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY
- Protect the safety of self, co-workers, and Grand Targhee Resort guests at all times.
- Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay.
- Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor.
- Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures.
- Operate equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of yourself or others.
- Drive in accordance with the law and Grand Targhee Resort policies.
