SUMMARY
Provide exceptional customer service while assisting lodging guests with check-in, check-out, and inquiries. Operate the main switchboard, process payments, and provide resort and area information. Maintain professionalism and a positive attitude while ensuring guest satisfaction. As a customer-focused organization, a crucial part of each employee’s job is to get and keep guests. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Including the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Check lodging guests in and out.
- Answer phones and direct calls appropriately and answer guest inquiries.
- Take payments from guests and explain billing details.
- Provide customer service, resolve guest issues, or escalate concerns to the Manager.
- Cross-sell other resort products.
- Provide resort and area information to visiting guests.
- Balance sales in the reservations program.
- Run the night audit for accounting, following all steps, correcting errors, and addressing posting issues.
- Working holidays and weekends as required.
- Complete all other assigned duties, including verifying reservations, light cleaning, running reports, and assisting with other projects as time permits.
RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY:
- Protect the safety of self-workers, and Grand Targhee Resort guests.
- Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay.
- Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor.
- Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures.
- Operate equipment safely so that it will not lead to injury to yourself or others.
- Drive in accordance with the law and Grand Targhee Resort policies.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities with staff.
WORK SCHEDULE & COMMITMENT
Due to the nature of the recreation industry, we are in operation seven days a week. This includes weekends and holidays and there is no guarantee of hours. Flexible working hours may be required based on the business levels.??
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous guest service experience preferred.
- Experience working with computers, including sales databases, Word, and Excel.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
