SUMMARY

Provide exceptional customer service while assisting lodging guests with check-in, check-out, and inquiries. Operate the main switchboard, process payments, and provide resort and area information. Maintain professionalism and a positive attitude while ensuring guest satisfaction. As a customer-focused organization, a crucial part of each employee's job is to get and keep guests. A key part of every employee's job is to serve as a Targhee ambassador, engaging the guest at every opportunity. This is an overnight position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Including the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Check lodging guests in and out.
  • Answer phones and direct calls appropriately and answer guest inquiries.
  • Take payments from guests and explain billing details.
  • Provide customer service, resolve guest issues, or escalate concerns to the Manager.
  • Cross-sell other resort products.
  • Provide resort and area information to visiting guests.
  • Balance sales in the reservations program.
  • Run the night audit for accounting, following all steps, correcting errors, and addressing posting issues.
  • Working holidays and weekends as required.
  • Complete all other assigned duties, including verifying reservations, light cleaning, running reports, and assisting with other projects as time permits.

RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY :

  • Protect the safety of self-workers, and Grand Targhee Resort guests.
  • Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay.
  • Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor.
  • Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures.
  • Operate equipment safely so that it will not lead to injury to yourself or others.
  • Drive in accordance with the law and Grand Targhee Resort policies.
  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    This job has no supervisory responsibilities with staff.

    WORK SCHEDULE & COMMITMENT

    Due to the nature of the recreation industry, we are in operation seven days a week. This includes weekends and holidays and there is no guarantee of hours. Flexible working hours may be required based on the business levels.??

    EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous guest service experience preferred.
  • Experience working with computers, including sales databases, Word, and Excel.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • QUALIFICATIONS

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.?

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.?Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.? Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to risk of electrical shock and risk of radiation. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
