Job Coach - Full Time

This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by helping them achieve their highest level of independence, earn a paycheck, build life skills, grow relationships with peers, and engage with the community. A job coach's primary objectives are to assist team members in developing the skills needed to perform specific tasks, and bolster their interpersonal abilities. A job coach acts as mentor, cheerleader and supervisor providing quality control of GTI products and services. This position typically works with a small group of 4-5 team members, but may also work 1 : 1. This position is a full time, 40hrs a week. Day Shift, no weekends.

We also provide an opportunity to become certified with the National Association of Direct Support Professionals. If you complete all three steps of the certification process, you will be given a $3,900 bonus!

Pay range for this position is $16-19.50 hourly.

Responsibilities :

• Promote positive social interactions
• Support individuals in the community, in their job, or at their jobs (enclaves or facility based)
• Teach skills to expand a person's independence and progress toward goals
• Maintain a clean and safe environment
• Administer medications
• Support individuals with hygiene and skill building
• Provide transportation with a company vehicle
• Document program data at each shift and coordinate with all program staff
• Provides and assists with job development or placement activities as directed.
• Any other duties assigned
