SUMMARY
The Marketing Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day execution of the casino database marketing policies, procedures, program execution and program analysis. Also responsible for all data extraction, daily & monthly analysis reporting, system uploads, and other tasks associated with the direct marketing/mail programs of the EDC enterprises. The primary responsibilities include development, performance analysis, and financial management as well as assistance with database marketing campaign execution - in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
The individual will be part of the EDC marketing department and participate in development and implementation of initiatives, project planning and budgeting as assigned for casino and enterprise properties. The ideal candidate will have a significant analysis background with gaming knowledge. Experience with Konami Synkros system and Tableau a plus.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Work closely with Marketing and Finance in analyzing effectiveness of Marketing programs and promotions by utilizing data mining, proforma’s, and other effective methodologies.
- ROI analysis on all Marketing initiatives.
- Partner with EDC marketing and financial analysts on tracking, analysis and report design and preparation to measure program performance and financial performance; encourage Marketing to utilize the data to monitor and fine tune their participation in marketing.
- Participate in annual projections, budgets and re-forecasts in coordination with all Marketing team members.
- Work with the Marketing Director, General Managers and CEO to plan, develop, and execute all database marketing programs including player club tier card programs, direct mail, internet and other customer relationship methodologies.
- Responsible for the analysis of all direct mail campaigns, including campaign execution is necessary.
- Comp reporting and Comp program analysis.
- Review and analysis of motor coach company value in comparison to volume.
- Trend reporting around all the above
- Prepare reports as needed or requested by management.
- Assist in the investigation of direct mail customer questions and complaints.
- Investigate all problems, complaints, and operational issue with campaigns as needed.
- Utilize the player tracking software to design appropriate target segments for the potential for new direct mail campaigns in accordance with criteria to be provided by management.
- Conduct client or market surveys to obtain information on current and potential customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts.
- Maintain confidential communications with management regarding problems, violations of policies and procedures, company finances, and employee relations.
- Demonstrate and promote a high degree of professionalism.
- Willingness to cross-train and provide support in related areas of operations.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
OTHER NECESSARY SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Expert understanding of direct marketing across all media channels from marketing strategy through creative development into implementation and analysis
- Heavy focus on direct mail and online operations and familiarity with database marketing technology
- Strong analytic skills and an ability to synthesize and explain complex data, including financial analysis, modeling and testing matrices
- Solid client service focus with an ability to influence decision makers within company.
- Strong project management skills, to handle multiple programs/campaigns/versions and guide Casino and enterprise partners through the process.
- Able to pay strict attention to details and develop processes in a collaborative team environment
- Exceptional communications skills (oral and written) and comfortable with designing and delivering presentations to partners and public.
- Proven track record of success in a marketing environment
- Skills with Microsoft products Excel, Word and PowerPoint along with Apple Mac products.
- Familiarity with information technology functions and products (standard reporting outputs); ability to learn and use other business software and reporting platforms used by marketing, vendor partner
- Active interest in the Casino industry and in supporting the goals of the organization
- Passionate about understanding consumer behavior and extracting actionable insights from data
- Financially savvy with an ability to connect individual contributions to bottom line financial performance.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Information Technology or related field is preferred. An Associate’s Degree and the equivalent years of work experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree. Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in designing and implementing direct marketing related analysis or equivalent experience with complex database management. Must possess working knowledge of Access. Strong mathematical and computer skills are required. The ideal candidate will have a significant direct mail marketing background with gaming knowledge.
DRIVING REQUIREMENTS
Must have a valid Michigan driver's license and be insurable by the Tribes' insurance carrier.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
May be required to lift, up to 50lbs. And be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time. May also be required to reach, bend, stretch, kneel, crawl, lift and carry.

Must be able to effectively handle stressful and compromising situations while remaining focused and professional. Must be able to deal with difficult people without losing perspective. Must be able to work productively under strict time restraints with veritable deadlines
WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be able and willing to work in a crowded, loud smoking environment. Must be able to handle being under constant surveillance. May be required to work in small, enclosed spaces. Must practice all safety policies, procedures and standards as set by OSHA.
COMMENTS
Native American and Tribal Preference will apply. Must be able to pass a background investigation and a drug and alcohol urinalysis as a condition of employment. Must be able to work flexible hours and to take on additional responsibilities when asked. Must adhere to company policies regarding strict confidentiality.
