Grand Valley Manufacturing is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. Under the direction of the VP of Operations, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and performing repairs on designated equipment.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain a variety of machine tools, attachments, and auxiliary mechanisms.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks, ensuring the safe and efficient functioning of our machine centers.
- Address machine stoppages due to maintenance faults as they occur. Troubleshoot and determine extent of repairs necessary. Coordinate with Maintenance Manager on performing necessary repairs.
- Diagnose hydraulic and pneumatic problems, replacing or repairing components as required.
- Coordinate with outside providers to conduct repairs and maintenance on machines and facilities.
- Participate in basic installation, maintenance, and modification on equipment and control systems.
- Responsible for adhering to repair schedules and providing technical assistance to other departments as needed.
- Responsible for assisting in equipment installations.
- Able to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals, and work orders to perform required maintenance work.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures: Lockout / Tagout, Hot Work, Confined Space, Arc Flash, and Fall Protection.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a maintenance position in a manufacturing setting.
Preferred Skills
- Technical knowledge of equipment, products, and processes
- Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Possesses knowledge of CNC controls and CNC control troubleshooting, electrical schematics, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High-level of analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, consistently meeting deadlines with accurate and detailed results.
