The Executive Meeting Manager is responsible for selling and managing group business of up to 25 individuals, with a primary focus on business and executive meetings. This role will actively cultivate relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and businesses to drive revenue while ensuring exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate is a dynamic sales professional with a passion for creating seamless, high-quality meeting solutions tailored to the needs of executives and small groups.

This role has potential to grow potentially into a manager-level role, depending upon the individual’s performance and their ability to exceed goals.  Production is critical, as is the ability to work as a team with one’s colleagues. Assuming both production and teamwork are illustrated, this role will grow along with the property and company.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Business Development:
    • Proactively identify and secure group business opportunities within the business and executive meetings sector.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, meeting planners, and industry contacts.
    • Conduct site visits and presentations to showcase meeting spaces and services.
    • Respond to inquiries and leads promptly to maximize booking opportunities.
  • Event Coordination and Client Relations:
    • Collaborate with clients to understand their meeting objectives and customize solutions to meet their needs.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients from initial inquiry through event execution.
    • Coordinate closely with operations, catering, and AV teams to ensure all event details are executed flawlessly.
    • Provide on-site support during events to address client needs and ensure satisfaction.
  • Strategic Planning and Reporting:
    • Develop and execute a sales plan targeting the business and executive meeting segment.
    • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
    • Track and report sales activities, revenue, and client feedback to optimize performance.
    • Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork:
    • Work closely with the sales and events teams to cross-sell and up-sell other resort/hotel services.
    • Partner with marketing to develop promotional materials and campaigns targeting the business meetings segment.
    • Participate in trade shows, networking events, and industry conferences to generate leads and build brand awareness.
  • Other duties as may be assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Strong organizational skills and decision-making skills.  
  • Assertive, outgoing and self-motivating individual with pleasant personality who is able to work in a team environment.  
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.   
  • Excellent negotiation skill needed.
  • This position requires the ability to stand, and, walk, 4 to 5 hours at a time, climb stairs, reach, bend, taste, see, hear, smell and feel or touch.  
  • This position also requires computer knowledge for contracts, group descriptions, providing information, and other required tasks, which would require good manual dexterity.  
  • The position may also require the ability to lift over 50 pounds occasionally.
  • The position requires travel.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in sales or event management, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales goals and building strong client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of corporate meeting planning and small group logistics.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
