Summary
We are seeking a Plant Manager to oversee operations at Grandma Hoerner's Foods. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily plant operations to ensure efficient production and adherence to quality standards.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize processes and reduce waste.
- Manage production planning and scheduling to meet customer demands effectively.
- Lead and mentor plant staff, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with supply chain management for materials procurement and inventory control using MRP systems.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations as well as company policies.
- Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to align production goals with overall company objectives.
Requirements
- Proven experience in plant management or operations management within the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of MRP systems and production planning methodologies.
- Familiarity with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning software is a plus.
- Demonstrated knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in monitoring production metrics.
- Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues.
