Gränges Americas Inc. is a leading producer of value-added primary aluminum products and rolled aluminum coils in North America. Gränges is the parent company who is a global aluminum company focused on rolled products for the heat exchanger industry. Our vision is to help create smaller, lighter and more designable rolled aluminum products to increase economic efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
We have operations all over the world including production facilities located in Sweden, United States, and China. We currently have openings for entry level production team members at our Huntingdon, Tennessee location.
Job Responsibilities:
- Strong professional demeaner.
- Good communication.
- Hands on, able to assist subordinates, this is not an office job will be in the plant most of the time.
- Must have ability to make good decisions and exhibit good judgment.
- Analyze and resolve work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
- Ability to multitask with minimum supervision.
- Must be able to work nights, holidays, and on call if needed.
- Provide leadership and organization within the department.
- Follows, promotes, and implements all Company policies.
- Execute production schedules and follow up on customer orders as needed to meet delivery dates.
- Responsible for employee training.
- Complete shift reports and check employees’ time and attendance via Paycom system.
- Approves vacation requests, arranges overtime as needed, recommends promotions and disciplinary actions for personnel assigned under his/her supervision.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office.
- Lead process improvement activities in accordance with the Granges Production System. This includes but not limited to 5s, Daily Management, and Kaizen participation.
- Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by senior management.
Qualifications
Educational/Specific Knowledge requirements:
- 4-year College Degree or equivalent work experience of 2 years in supervisory capacity preferred.
- Ability to motivate, lead and facilitate manufacturing initiatives while fostering a cohesive work environment. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization (report writing, and presentation skills needed).
- Technical background in textiles and Manufacturing knowledge preferred.
