What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Science Teacher position at Granite Bay Montessori?
Private Montessori school, located in East Roseville, is currently looking for dynamic, collaborative, team players to join our staff. Our lead teachers understand and promote the mission, policies, goals and objectives of our school within the classroom, as well as throughout the school community and beyond. Lead teachers are responsible for providing a Montessori classroom and academic program which support the individual needs of the students while remaining true to core Montessori philosophies.
We are looking for a teacher with a background in science and technology for our elementary program, students age 6 - 12.
Position requirements:
- Must be able to work with a wide range of skill levels
- Have a clear understanding of the Montessori philosophy
- Develop fun, exciting, engaging, lesson plans that meet school standards
- Willing to work as a team with students and parents to ensure the success of our students
- Montessori experience a plus!
- Education requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or in progress of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college / university in a science related field
- A minimum of 1 year teaching experience
This position will be part time, however, we can be flexible on the days/times worked if they fit within our school day.
