Granite Communications & Security is seeking a dedicated and experienced Telecom Project Manager to participate in and oversee the daily operations. In this role, you will be the lead for all internet services on all customers’ properties. Ensure that our service standards are consistently met, technical support is provided efficiently, and customer issues are resolved in a timely manner. The Telecom Project Manager will provide leadership to installation and support personnel and collaborate with management to continuously improve service delivery and operational processes. This position involves collaborating between internal project team members, external vendors and other agencies to successfully plan and complete assigned projects on time and on-budget while keeping management and other key stakeholders informed through regular reporting and project updates.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with Tier I, Tier II, and Tier 3 Internet Service Providers, along with brokers to acquire quotes and contracts for new telecom services.
- Lead circuit ordering for dedicated internet services and bulk wi-fi deployments.
- Manage existing bulk wi-fi deployment that already have services up and running.
- Administer all accounts.
- Oversee any tech support needed for each of the sites.
- Provide upper levels of tech support.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience with dedicated circuit ordering and installations.
- Considerable knowledge of installing, configuring, and managing VoIP systems, deploying the company's IP telephone communication systems, and software architecture and hardware components.
- Designing enterprise solution architectures for voice and data services, troubleshooting LAN and WAN hardware systems related to VoIP networks, and analyzing and upgrading network security systems.
- Substantial experience with adding network users, managing permissions, and optimizing network installations for future expansion.
- Oversee the resolution of customer complaints, technical issues, and service disruptions.
- Lead efforts to continuously improve billing processes and systems, optimizing automation, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Ensure all service requests are addressed professionally and efficiently, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Develop strategies to minimize service downtime and improve overall customer experience.
- Monitor customer feedback and service metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Operational Oversight:
- Monitor day-to-day operations to ensure compliance with company policies and quality standards.
- Implement best practices and monitor inventory tracking, service installation, provisioning, billing, troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as service uptime, team productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Provide project support for internal cross-functional project efforts.
Requirements:
- 5 plus years of experience managing ISP or VoIP Services.
- Must have 3-5 years minimum in the telecommunications field, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in customer service management or technical support.
- Familiarity with telecom technologies, services and troubleshooting techniques.
- A degree with a specialization in Technical, Business Administration or a related field preferred.
- Relevant certifications in telecommunications or networking are a plus.
