Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely processing of accounts receivable transactions. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts and proficiency in accounting software. The Accounts Receivable Clerk will play a crucial role in supporting the overall financial health of our organization.
Responsibilities
- Process and record incoming payments accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain accounts receivable records, ensuring all transactions are documented properly.
- Analyze account discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Collaborate with the accounts payable team to ensure seamless financial operations.
- Utilize accounting software, including Paychex, for data entry and reporting purposes.
- Perform 10 key typing for efficient data entry tasks.
- Generate invoices and follow up on outstanding payments with clients as needed.
- Assist in month-end closing procedures related to accounts receivable.
- Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation related to accounts receivable.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or similar role.
- Familiarity with governmental accounting practices is a plus.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software; experience with Paychex is preferred.
- Excellent data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze financial data effectively and identify discrepancies.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
