Stone Fabricator

Granite Works Stone Design is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Stone Countertop Fabricator to join our team. This position involves fabricating high-quality stone countertops, ensuring precision and attention to detail in every step of the process. Pay Range:

$18 – $28 per hour (Wage Contingent on Experience)

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Fabricate stone countertops using state-of-the-art machinery, tools, and hand-finishing techniques.
• Read and interpret blueprints, templates, and work orders to ensure fabrication accuracy.
• Cut, polish, and edge stone materials to meet specifications and quality standards.
• Handle and move stone slabs and fabricated pieces safely and efficiently.
• Inspect finished pieces to ensure they meet quality standards and customer expectations.
• Maintain and clean fabrication equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with installers to troubleshoot and resolve any fit or installation issues.
• Organize and maintain the workspace to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
• Operate automated CNC machines and hand tools with precision and care.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials, including raw slabs and fabricated pieces.

Qualifications / Experience:

• Experience in stone countertop fabrication or a related field is required.
• Knowledge of working with granite, quartz, marble, and other stone materials.
• Familiarity with CNC equipment and hand tools for cutting and polishing stone.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials safely.
• Valid driver’s license with minimal incidents in the last three years (for travel to job sites if needed).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift or move heavy stone slabs and fabricated pieces regularly.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Comfortable working in varying conditions, including warehouse and fabrication shop environments.
