About The Role
(Position is on-site in West Lafayette, IN)
- As the Market Accounting Lead, you will be an integral part of our accounting team. This position will provide hands-on accounting financial statement preparation into our AppFolio ERP system. This role will work as a valued team member assisting multiple segments of our accounting department. We are seeking someone who is accountable, responsible and a great addition to our team. Ultimately looking for an individual that embraces and manifests our Corporate Culture of Humility, Integrity and Accountability.
- Serve as the primary contact for the Market Presidents to support the Property Owners.
- Assist with preparation of the individual property financial statements.
- Support efforts in Balance Sheet documentation.
- Assist Accounting team with Bank Reconciliations and Loan Reconciliations.
- Create Journal Entries as needed.
- Vacancy Rate Calculation and Entry into Property Financials.
- Heavily involved with ERP system Entity set up and bank account establishment for new property transitions.
- Pull multiple financial statement packages together for review and distribution.
- Assist in other Accounting Department areas as determined needed.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or requisite experience.
- Positive Owner Facing Presence.
- Solid Understanding of GAAP Accounting Principles.
- Ability to work in a multiple entity environment with interruptions.
- Ability to prioritize issues as they arise and communicate.
- Property Management experience
- Experience in conflict resolution and customer service
- AppFolio Software Experience highly desirable, but not required.
- Problem Solver, adaptability, accountability, self-starter, strong attention to detail, focus on continuous improvement.
