Grant Cooper CPA is an established CPA firm specializing in providing accounting, payroll and tax services to small and medium sized businesses in the Northern Illinois Area. We have a strong track record of success and are looking for the right individual to join our Firm.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Client consulting
- Supervise/assist in monthly write-up services and payroll
- Business and personal income tax preparation
- Tax Notices and some IRS Representation
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 years accounting and tax experience
- CPA or CPA candidate in process of testing
- Self-motivated, outgoing professional
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong people skills a must
- Must enjoy helping small business owners
- Public accounting experience a plus
- Willingness to learn in a team environment.
- Paid continuing education
Excellent compensation and full time. Depending on candidate we may have some work in the Rochelle office or in tax season allow some work from home. We want the work done correctly and understand at times this effect the time to do the work.
We try to have a fun nurturing environment. For a correct candidate may assist in obtaining additional skills. Satisfying the client is very important. You will not being doing work randomly but for a person or business that you will get to understand. We want our clients to succeed. We want you to have enough time to understand and communicate.
We try to be a team. We want to utilize each others knowledge on a tax issue, technology issue, etc.
This position has many responsibilities but is heavy in tax. Most of out work is low to medium complexity.
MAY CONSIDER AN Enrolled Agent OR NEW ACCOUNTING GRADUATE on a case by case basis. May consider a CPA wanting to transition to public accounting.
