Grant Leading Technology is seeking an Information Technology (IT) Project Manager (PM) to become a part of our team. The candidate will manage an IT project and is the primary individual responsible for the development, modification, or enhancement of a specific IT products, services or systems, constrained by relationships among scope, resources, and time. The work involves an IRS-wide mission, in which the contract support defines, develops, and leads major national level projects which may include implementation of a new system or a major enhancement to an existing system.

This position will be onsite at least once a week at Chamblee Office in Chamblee, GA. (Candidates outside of this area will not be considered.)

Working hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm EST.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, initiate, and manage information technology (IT) project.
• Lead and guide the work of technical staff.
• Serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects.
• Plan project stages and assess business implications for each stage.
• Monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met.
• Provide expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical IT issues.
• Apply new developments; and make decisions or recommendations that significantly influence important IT projects/programs.
• Identifying of software requirements, understanding of designs, integration, testing, deployments, maintenance, configuration management, methodologies and processes, tools, and methods.
• Ability to understand data structures, algorithms, prototyping, architecture, program design and implementation, systems analysis and design, system software, and database management.
• Expert level of understanding of Project management principles.
• Expert level oral and written communication. Ability to communicate complex technical requirements to non-technical personnel.
• Expert level of briefings creation and presentation to senior management officials on complex/controversial issues.
• Expert level leadership, teambuilding, decision making, problem solving, and organizing and maintaining of information in information management systems
• Knowledge of advanced IT principles, concepts, methods, standards, and practices sufficient to accomplish assignments such as: develop and interpret policies, procedures, and strategies governing the planning and delivery of services throughout IRS.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university; and
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in consulting, program, or project management related to planning, administration, finance, or technology delivery
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of relative, appropriate industry software programs
• Knowledge of financial management for project management
• Excellent analytical skills to understand and document business requirements
• Excellent project management skills and knowledge of applicable software
• Technical understanding of technological changes, challenges, and opportunities
• Time management skills to prioritize day-to-day priority activities
• Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources including team members and other stakeholders
• Ability to be respond to a changing environment, acknowledging urgency when necessary
• Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in confidential matters
• Ability to react to project adjustments and alternatives promptly and efficiently
• Strong communication and presentation of ideas skills
• Must live in the United States
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Skills:

• Have Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) clearance
• Candidates must be able to pass an IRS Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) security background check. Candidate must be up to date on all tax filing and payments, if not, candidate will not be considered.
• Advanced Technical Credentials, e.g., Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile experience, CSM/PSM, preferred
• Background in one or more systems/solutions: Cisco Unified Contact Center Enterprise, Cloud Solutions, Natural Language Understanding (NLU), Interactive Voice Response (IVR), eGain Solve, Microsoft Nuance, Data Analytics, PowerBI, Ribbon Analytics, Contact Recording/Contact Analytics.
• Previous project management lead experience is preferable
• Previous IT experience in Federal or State government is preferable
