What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at Grant Leading Technology, LLC?
Grant Leading Technology is seeking a candidate for a Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team. The Staff Accountant (SA) will be a critical member of the GLT Finance Team and will report to the Comptroller of GLT. This position is Remote. The core hours are 8 am to 5 pm EST, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring all vendor invoices are processed in a timely manner and are paid per account terms.
- Responsible for managing vendors and understanding what services they are providing and ensuring these invoices are correctly posted into the GLT accounting system.
- Responsible for processing payroll on a bi-monthly basis via UKG and making the corresponding entries into Costpoint.
- Responsible for coordinating all payroll registrations with corresponding states.
- Responsible for the processing and administration of Expense Reports in a timely manner.
- Will process company credit card transactions and reconcile the account monthly.
- Assist the Comptroller with the monthly close of GLT.
- Analyze Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss G/L accounts for anomalies or errors.
- Ability to research accounts where necessary to understand anomalies and to identify and correct errors.
- Support the Comptroller during annual budget preparation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in accounting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel. Very good with spreadsheets
- Attention to detail
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Confidentiality and integrity
- Two (2) to five (5) years’ experience with Deltek Costpoint
- Experience with payroll processing systems.
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Proactive and the ability to work independently
- Must live in the United States
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Skills:
- Previous government experience and government contracting experience
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience with automated reporting/forecasting tools
- Experience with UKG Ready (Kronos)
